    The Klavier Trio Amsterdam returns to La Maison Française for "passionate intensity" during another beautiful evening of chamber music on Monday, May 4th! The program will include J.S. Bach's Partita no. 1 (piano), Dvorak's Sonatina in G major, Op. 100 (cello and piano), the "Dumky" Trio, and Ravel's Tzigane (violin and piano). "The most beautiful chamber music concert of the season… Violinist Joan Berkhemer, cellist Nadia David and pianist Klara Wurtz played each piece with passionate intensity and perfect ensemble, neglecting not even the most obscure detail." - The Washington Post (2006)

    About Klavier Trio Amsterdam
    Joan Berkhemer, Nadia David and Klara Wurtz, each a seasoned soloist, joined forces in 1990 to form Klavier Trio Amsterdam. One of the most prestigious Dutch chamber music ensembles, Klavier Trio Amsterdam appears regularly at La Maison Française and the Corcoran and receives critical acclaim around the world. The group won top honors at the Colmar Chamber Music Competition and its début recording of two Mendelssohn trios was listed as "the best CD of year" in the 2000 International Record Review.
