an Irishman Man named John O' Brien whose name I will not reveal mocked DJ Marcus for being Dutch and told him that nobody would ever come to a Dutch Party. That same year 90 Dutch people showed up full in orange supporting the cause to celebrate the queen's Birthday and party like the Dutch do back home. There was more Amstel and Heineken drank that night than 3 St. Patrick's Days combined. The average Dutchman drank 8.1 bottle of beers compared to American average of 3.7.

After the first success of the KDSF (Koninginne Dag San Francisco) party, NLborrels teamed up with DJ Marcus. NLborrels New York made a great Flyer depicting the Golden Gate Bridge in Orange and Damrak Gin Sponsored the event by donating a box full of T-Shirts and 12 bottles of Genever which were passed out as shots at 20:45 at 22:00 the DJ requested a shot however it seemed that all bottles were drank whoops! But the DJ did manage to score a t-shirt (great!) For the event DJ Marcus went to 3 Safeways in the city and bought up all the 6 packs of Bavaria Beer available totaling 14 cases. The Safeway manager had never seen such phenomena. The French owner of Zebulon donated orange tulips and after the Qday party, he retired a happy man.

As we all have heard of the Great Dutch Artists such as Vermeer, Rembrandt, Hals, De Jong and Mondriaan the location was chosen to be an art gallery right across from Golden Gate Park. Grolsch beer a Dutch Local favorite realized the artistic value in the true spirit of Dutch Drinkers and sponsored the event right away. The Swingtop beer was born in SF and was a tremendous success amidst the Sunset Folklore.

Artists, Expats, Students, Local Residents, and many walks of life unified such a great Dutch Heritage Tradition that the Dutch Queensday had to be at the Canvas Art Gallery again. However with all good things the Canvas Art Gallery produced it was sold (helaas pindakaas) and this called for a combined art gallery closing party with the Dutch Queensday. Murals of Dutch Landscapes were painted, Dutch artists showed off their artwork, Grolsch beer was consumed under the sky of 10,000 pieces of Orange Paper dangling from the Ceiling that symbolically was ripped down by the happy orange masses that were dumbfounded how society could allow such a downfall of a cornerstone of culture in our own little inner sunset, however the love of Orange and the Party continued and grew stronger every day since the collapse.

The Orange fever now spread from the International Scene to the Hipsters as they wanted to be part of this massive KDSF celebration. So needless to say the party had to be in the Marina . Gravity was the spot for the celebration. NLborrels & Grolsch were once again the partners in crime and Sateh was flown into the party to finally add the gourmet perfected hot peanut butter sauce to the yellow crispy Dutch Fries which gave the people even more a sense of home. The party felt truly as a strong Dutch orange beacon that navigated our country and seamen to be part of our festive orange tradition in the vast ocean of Americans . Our Red, White and Blue Flag of Heritage is held high.
