    Hi New York City!

    Tuesday, March 1 (7 pm) Jopen Beer from Holland will officially be launching in Spuyten Duyvil, 359 Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

    // Jopen Beer //
    Jopen passionately produces a number of historic recipes and modern classics combining ageold recipes with playful craftiness. Distinctive, authentic and full of flavor. A perfect blend of tradition and innovation (the latest technology,
    the best ingredients and entirely new styles). National and international awards won by Jopen are the ultimate proof. Have a taste and find out what the contradiction of ‘historic modernism’ is like.

    // Chance to taste //
    You’ll definitely have a chance to taste: Jopen Hoppenbier, Jopen Doubting Thomas and Jopen Koyt.

    Jopen Hoppenbier
    This golden beer is a precise reproduction of a historic Haarlem beer and is brewed according to the brewer’s statute (recipe regulated by the council) of 1501. A crisp beer with a malty foretaste and a lingering, bitter finish.

    Jopen Doubting Thomas
    This reddish-brown beer is named after the apostle Thomas and is a genuine winter warmer. Surprisingly rich in flavour and ideal for sipping beside the fireplace. Thanks to it's popularity we brew it the whole year round.

    Jopen Koyt
    This reddish-brown beer is a reproduction of a historic Haarlem beer and is brewed according to the brewer’s statute (recipe regulated by the council) of 1407. Jopen Koyt is brewed with gruit, a medieval blend of herbs in which sweet gale picked according to ritual was essential. Legend has it that, to avoid its hallucinogenic properties, sweet gale could only be picked at full moon by nude witches. The spicy flavour is highly complex and smooth.
