    New Amsterdam Trade & Consultancy is looking for an intern for a period of 5 months (from January –June 2014).

    The work experience encompasses a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
    • General support in the daily activities of New Amsterdam
    • Assist in the coordination of the EUPF Seminar
    • Communicate with companies participating in the Seminar
    • Communicate with vendors, such as hotel, venue and catering
    • Schedule network meetings
    • Coordinate logistical arrangements
    • Administrative tasks for the Seminar, such as creating folders and memory sticks to distribute to the participants
    • Supervise volunteers
    • Evaluation of the Seminar with EU companies and EUPF
    • Other related duties as assigned

    You are:
    • a dynamic, hands-on person with no nine-to-five mentality;
    • well organized and resourceful;
    • with strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) in English and Dutch;
    • knowledgeable in office matters and preferably IT savvy;
    • a bachelor student in International Business, Hospitality Management, Public Management or Communications or related;
    • available for a period of 5 months (starting early January until early June).

    What do we offer?
    This internship offers you the opportunity to gain international work experience. During your internship you will receive an expense reimbursement of $500 per month plus a telephone subscription for unlimited local and long distance calls (not international). You will need to purchase the round trip ticket yourself. Prior to buying the ticket you must approve the price with New Amsterdam. The cost of the economy class ticket will be reimbursed based on proof of payment in the first week of your internship.
