    2013 Queen's Day & Enthronement Celebration

You and your family and friends are hereby cordially invited by the Royal Netherlands Air Force F16 Detachment Tucson and NLBorrels Tucson to join the Dutch community in celebrating two major and very special Royal Orange events:

Queen Beatrix's Birthday A.k.a. "Queen's Day" or ("Koninginnedag" in Dutch), celebrating her 75th birthday this year and her last year as reigning Queen

and the Enthronement of his Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje, Heir apparent to the throne of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, who will succeed Queen Beatrix to become the first King of the Netherlands since 1890!

Please join us at this special event on SUNDAY APRIL 28, 2013

This fun-packed day is not only in honor of our Royal family but also a celebration of Dutch culture.

Guests of Honor: Both LtCol RNLAF Maurice Schonk and Honorary Consul Mr. Siebe van der Zee (Consulate of the Netherlands, Scottsdale, AZ) will be joining us for this celebration!

    • 1:00 PM Reception at the Park (Name tags, food and gift tickets, drinks, appetizer)
•13:30 Official Welcome and Opening by LtCol Maurice Schonk and Honorary Consul Mr. Siebe van der Zee, followed by a toast to Her Majesty Queen Beatrix and His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje. The official opening will be concluded with the singing the Dutch and American anthems
•14:00 Start of 'Fun & Games' (typical traditional Dutch games) - great fun for anyone of every age group (participation obviously on a voluntary basis!)
•14:00 Start of the "Vrijmarkt" (Flea market). Bring a blanket (and a parasol!) and start selling (small/fun) items to the crowd
•15:30 Group Game (anyone can participate)
•16:00 Queen's Day Borrel (Happy Hour), enjoy drinks, warm and cold snacks
•18:00 End of Festivities (don't forget to pick up your commemorative gift!)
Note: Free food and beverages will be made available throughout the event. An ice-cream vendor will be on site as well (for purchase).

Because of the limited number of available tickets, and no ticket sales at the park, to attend you NEED to register:
