    Because of expanding business, New Amsterdam Trade & Consultancy is looking for an office assistant for 20-28 hrs/wk., starting in the beginning of 2013

    Who are we?

    New Amsterdam advises and represents companies that want to set up their business on the US market and companies that want to do business on the procurement market of developing organizations. New Amsterdam’s services range from providing US incorporation advice, back office support, market support, market research, to representation services.     The office assistant will provide office and information management support. He/she will also assist in obtaining a portfolio of new clients, through e-mail marketing, social media and referral marketing.

    The position will possibly be extended with marketing and sales tasks on behalf of our clients.


    Responsibilities

    The position encompasses a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:

    Creating correspondence with potential clients, vendors and partners
    Managing consultants’ schedules including scheduling appointments and making travel arrangements
    Maintaining customer database by inputting customer profile and updates
    Coordinating the annual EU UN-Procurement seminar, and other events
    Managing social media and online presence
    Updating website
    Maintaining existing accounts for up sell and renewal
    Generating and follow up on new leads
    Creating promotional marketing materials as needed.
    Mail and phone handling for New Amsterdam and its clients
    Preparing and sending out orders
    Managing financial administration for clients


    Key Competencies:

    Minimum two years of office experience, preferably in a Commercial business or Marketing environment
    Experience in Customer Relationship Management systems
    Book keeping experienceMust demonstrate ability to take initiative and work independently, yet demonstrate strong teamwork capabilities.
    Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks/demands
    Strong relationship management and organizational skills
    Customers service skills
    Advanced in MS Office, comfortable with basic IT problem solving
    Fluent in English, proficiency in Dutch and Spanish
    In the possession of a US work permit


    Salary depends on actual number of hours worked per week, however indication is $35K based on a 40 hour work week.
