As you know, the NYC Dutchies were again able to secure a spot in the prestigious soccer tournament Cosmos Copa New York City 2012. This tournament is the official Mayors cup tournament.
Last Sunday, NYC Holland played the first qualification match against an Afghanistan that included two internationals and they had beaten Japan previously. Link below has the full summary by the local writers – They forgot to mention that it was a close game which was lost by 2-1, we were disallowed two goals due to presumed off-side and we fought hard. Also they should’ve mentioned that Eli’s goal was the goal of the day. No worries - all in all a great team performance and it bodes well for the future and hopefully we’ll have a lot of support!

Qualification day 2 coming Sunday June 24 at Randall’s Island
As our match against USA was postponed last week, we have to play three games coming Sunday:
    10AM: Kosovo – Holland (field 75)
    12PM: Japan – Holland (field 75)
    2PM: USA – Holland (field 82)
Please, come out, enjoy the sun & support your NYC Holland team!

(we'll send out a an email to the Y-supporters for last minute info)
    Hope to see you Sunday!
