"Watch, listen and learn. You can't know it all yourself. Anyone who thinks they do is destined for mediocrity." - Donald Trump, Entrepreneur

    Coming to America!

    WHAT:
Dutch Entrepreneurs in New York – Panel Discussion

The Dutch Young Professionals & NAF-BIZ New York will host an interactive panel discussion on entrepreneurship in the US, featuring prominent Dutch entrepreneurs who will share their experiences with the audience, led by moderator Jeroen Ansink. Watch, listen and learn while these entrepreneurs go over a number of business topics including what inspired them to come to the US and the process of establishing their businesses.

    WHO:
    Fokke de Jong, CEO Suitsupply:
Founder & CEO of Suitsupply, headquartered in Amsterdam. Currently 35 stores in six countries, 450 (and expanding) employees and recently opened a new 4,000 sf store in New York, located on Mercer Street in SoHo, recently named the “Nr. 1 suit store in New York” by the Wall Street Journal.

Jasper Swart, Westland Holland Cheese Inc:
Director of Sales USA for “Old Amsterdam” cheese, headquartered in Huizen, available in over 18 states in the US. Last year, Old Amsterdam won Best of Class in the Aged Gouda Category at the Wisconsin World Championship Cheese Contest. Old Amsterdam received 99.6, the top-ranking score among 39 Aged Goudas entered by five nations. Old Amsterdam is getting more and more popular here in the USA and available in many stores

    Tal Nadari, Lucas Bols USA:
Managing Director of Lucas Bols USA. The company, Lucas Bols, has been making Bols Genever since 1664 and Genever was instrumental in the rise of the cocktail in the U.S. at the turn of the century. The spirit went off the U.S. market during Prohibition and was virtually unavailable – and therefore little known – to modern American drinkers until the recent re-launch in 2008. Bols Genever is imported from Holland by Lucas Bols U.S.A. / MHW Ltd and is available in New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Illinois, Oregon, California, Arizona and Louisiana.

    Jeroen Ansink (Moderator)
Jeroen Ansink came to NY in 1998 as correspondent for FEM Business. Today he continues to contribute articles for HP/De Tijd, Forum and Managementboek Magazine.
