The Netherland-America Foundation (NAF) will hold its 30th Peter Stuyvesant Ball on November 18, 2011 at the spectacular Pier Sixty located in the heart of Chelsea Piers on the Hudson in New York City. We are delighted that the patrons of the NAF, Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of The Netherlands and Professor Pieter van Vollenhoven, will grace us with their presence, as will the Balls Honorary Chairs from the Dutch diplomatic corps.

The Sponsor of this year’s event is Rabobank International, which for many years has supported the efforts of the NAF, in particular our commitment to education through the NAF-Fulbright Fellowships awarded to highly talented Dutch and American students pursuing graduate level studies at universities in each others’ countries. Ruurd Weulen Kranenberg, Chief Executive Officer, Rabobank International, North America Wholesale, will serve as Ball Chair, with NAF Director Fred G. Peelen serving as Ball Organizing Committee Chair.

This black tie event begins with cocktails at 7 pm, followed by a particularly delectable dinner at 8 pm - a culinary experience presented by Hotel Okura Amsterdam. A satirical monologue will be given by Floor Kist, former Grandmaster of Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, taking a not-too-serious look at Dutch-American relations. Dancing will be to the fabulous orchestra of Gerard Carelli, while the grand finale of the evening is the "Rockin' with Rabobank" Nightclub featuring Dave Brown and the Versatiles, starting at 11:30 pm. Ball reservations include attendance to the Nightclub.

The Peter Stuyvesant Ball is a treasured annual and very festive black tie event, where influential leaders and friends of the Dutch-American community from both sides of the pond gather in support of the NAF’s crucial and vital activities.
