NAF-Biz Networking Event: "Dogs, Microwaves and Hot Coffee: Navigating the U.S. Legal Environment"
    Thursday, May 26, 2011

Two experts will discuss the practical differences between the U.S. legal system and its Belgian and Dutch counterparts. What are the important differences between the systems for a European company? Why are U.S. contracts so long and complicated? The presenters will use real-life examples of U.S. legal pitfalls, and will offer practical tips on how to avoid them.
The presentation will be given by Avner-Ben Gera and Jan Joosten, both partners at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, a prominent New York-based law firm.

This event is jointly organized with the Belgian-American Chamber of Commerce.
