Hallooo Nederlanders en Vlamingen in San Diego!!!!

This is our 7th annual Queen's Day celebration in San Diego! The Dutch Meetup Group, NLBorrels and the Dutch School of San Diego celebrate together on Saturday April 23rd, yes, one week early, in order to get the new location. The group joining in to party tends to be bigger and more fun each year! This is a great time to WEAR ORANGE, play games, eat and socialize with other ‘Dutchies’ and friends.

With the banning of alcohol at Kate Sessions Park, we are hosting our annual Queens Day 2011 celebration at a La Jolla home on Mount Soledad where we’ll have a large space for everyone to come together for fun and play and to enjoy speaking Dutch in San Diego! :)

Please mark your calendars for our annual Dutch Queen's Day celebration: "Koninginnedag 2011"!!
    When: Saturday, April 23, 2011 12:00 PM
    Where: Private Residence
    2667 Hidden Valley Road
    La Jolla, CA 92037

Please come with the whole family! We have lots of activities organized for the kids; a “rommelmarkt” (a flea market for the kids to sell/exchange their toys and stuff, and adults may bring their stuff too :)), typical Dutch games such as ‘koekhappen’, ‘zaklopen’, ‘eierlopen’, ‘grabbelton’ ($1 each to find a prize!), ‘spijkerpoepen’, ‘beschuitfluiten’ and many more! There will be a bouncy castle, a huge trampoline, tennis courts to play in and space for a soccer match! The Dutch School in San Diego (DSLA) will have a stand to paint faces and they are organizing a bake sale!

It will be a casual Potluck/BBQ party for everyone to participate in! Come and go as you like! You can park on the street. A big BBQ grill will be provided by “TABÉ BBQ Grill” . Also paper plates, plastic utensils and cups, table covers and napkins WILL be made available. What can you do?
