    Job Details
    New Amsterdam has specialized in providing private companies, public organizations, and industry associations with assistance and strategic advice to penetrate the UN procurement and World Bank Group market in an effective way. New Amsterdam offers an extensive spectrum of services, diverging from: market research, representation, organizing trade mission and seminars. New Amsterdam is looking to appoint an enthusiastic business development consultant who will strengthen our team and will focus on providing services that relate to business development towards development organizations.

    Your key responsibilities will be to:
    - Organize and assist with the preparation and execution of United Nations business seminars.
    - Keep track of developments within the UN procurement market
    - Identify and investigate business opportunities for our current clients with development organizations
    - Represent our clients towards development organizations
    - Market and promote our tailored UN procurement market research
    - Organize and accompany groups of companies that come to New York and Washington DC to visit the United Nations and World Bank Group offices.
    - Support director with follow up of new leads
    - Assist team with US back office support services if needed

    Your Profile
    To perform this job successfully, an individual should meet the following minimum requirements and qualifications:
    - Bachelor’s degree
    - 3-5 years relevant work experience and, or a familiarity with UN procurement and development organizations
    - Communicates clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing
    - Capacity for working effectively and efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously
    - Ability to work independently and assume additional responsibilities as required
    - Ability to identify business opportunities for our clients
    - Able to convert leads/opportunities to new business
    - Client focus
    - Team player
    - Hands-on mentality
    - English Language fluent, Dutch language is a plus
    - Advanced computer skills a plus
    - In possession of a US work permit
