    This is my situation.

My husband and I are married now for 14 months now, he is an American Citizen and i'm a Dutch Citizen. We filed papers last year in October for a permanent resident. We did hire a laywer

Him and I have had some issues, and I always felt extremely intimidate by him.

First he did not show up for our first INS interview. Thank God the interview got rescheduled in May.

Today I received an email from my husband saying that he wants to file for an divorce and saying that our marriage is over.
I really did not need to receive this email especially that i'm in a family crisis. It is too much for me, I'm under major stress.

So my question is what can I do now. Can I still continue by my self. How does my situation looks like in the future.

I've been in the past on a J-1 and then as an International student on a F-1 and then I came back on vacation on a tourist visa and thats when my husband asked me to marry him.

So last year I entered on a tourist visa.

i received a work permit thats valid for a year and travel permit etc

I hope to receive some information

    I thank you in advance.

PS. At the moment i'm in the Netherlands for about a week until not known, My father is very ill.
